Johnstown/Kilmichel Vintage Club held their annual Vintage Day on October 4th. All profits from the day and from raffle tickets sold during the Summer were designated for a range of good causes. The three main beneficiaries were Cork Cancer Research, Marymount Hospice and Co-Action Bantry. On Friday November 11th, representatives of these organizations were welcomed to Cill Eanna Bar, Johnstown, to be presented with a cheque for €4,000 each. Nine local National Scools, including the three parish schools, St Enda's Kilnadur, Terelton and Dromleigh, together with Kilmichel Parish Resource Centere, were presented with checques of €500 each on Fri 25th November.
